Postpartum Doula Care

The fourth trimester is a time when healing, rest, and recovery are of utmost importance. However along with these needs comes a time of immense change, emotions, and demands. It's a period of routine being broken down and over time seeing a new routine, and life emerge. Many parents to be spend their 9(ish) months of pregnancy preparing for the day their baby will arrive, but put very little thought into what happens in the days, weeks, and months that follow. For those who are not prepared, it can be especially daunting and even if you think you are prepared, the changes can feel much more powerful than could be imagined. When a baby is born, so is a mother and just as that baby needs to be cared for and nurtured, so does the new mother. As your  postpartum doula I will be there to tend to you and your needs, and guide you through this extremely transformative phase of life.

"After birth there is a sacred window of time. A time for complete rejuvenation of a woman's physical, mental, and spiritual health. A time for deep extended bonding with her newborn. The first 42 days after birth sets the stage for the next 42 years."
